Today marks nine years since media personality Adelle Onyango lost her mother.
Last night, the former radio presenter shared a photo of late mother accompanied by an emotional post on her Instagram.
In the post, Adelle disclosed to her fans that she is still in pain and hurt by the demise of her mother. She also revealed that she feels guilty for being alive and celebrating important milestones in her absence.
‘Tomorrow’ll mark exactly nine years since mummy died and the heartbreak is still so wild. No one told me that the more the years pass, the more guilt I’ll feel for how much I’ve lived, how many milestones I’ve celebrated without her, for continuing to live.’ She wrote.
‘There’s a quote about grief being just love with nowhere to go. I think that is true, that’s the heartbreaking part, all this love and for 9 years, nowhere to go.’ She added.
