RIP! Daddy Owen, Wahu, Maina Kageni and Other Celebrities in Mourning.

This morning, netizens woke up to the shocking news of the death of Christian Longomba, of the famous singing duo The Longombas. His brother Lovy L Elias announced the news via his Instagram in a touching post accompanied by their photo.

‘To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I love you Christian my brother, my friend, and partner, but Jesus loves you more. Enjoy Heaven.’  He wrote. Upon the news of Christian’s demise, Kenyan musicians like Daddy Owen, Wahu Kagwi, and other celebrities stood with the family in mourning. Here are some of the messages. Daddy Owen: ‘R.I.P Christian Longomba. This is just sad. This guy, the late mum, and his brother Prophet Lovy gave me like most of my nicknames.’

Wahu Kagwi: ‘Shocking and sad to hear of your demise Christian Longomba. A quiet but powerful spirit you were. Prophet Lovy, take heart. May the peace of God prevail over your family during this difficult season.’

Nameless: ‘RIP Christian Longomba. Our prayers to your family during this hard time.’
