Recently, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the lockdown of; Nairobi, Kajiado, Kiambu, Machakos, and Nakuru to curb the surge of Covid-19 infections. Following this new directive, many took to their social media to express their concerns, and former news anchor Betty Kyallo is one of them.
According to Betty, many of her friends in the hospitality sector are affected and struggling to make ends meet. She also disclosed that many have called her asking for money to feed their families, but she cannot do much.
‘Hope you had a better day. As an entrepreneur I’m really thinking about the many Kenyans who are really suffering and struggling to make ends meet. So many of my friends from restaurants, joints, hotels I love and frequent calling me and asking for money to buy food for their families’ She wrote.
‘It’s not easy as I can’t do much to alleviate their suffering. Something surely needs to be done. I would say we reach out to someone. Let’s be there for each other’ She added. For daily and consistent entertainment and celebrity news in the region, follow the East African Buzz.
