Since his impeachment, former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi alias Sonko has some time on his hands.
Yesterday, he visited Betrace Nanjala, who underwent surgery at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, to remove a tumor from the right side of her head.
In a post shared on his social media, Sonko revealed that though Betrace lost her right eye, she feels so much relief after battling with the condition for 21 years.
He commended the Star Kenya for breaking the story and creating awareness about Betrace’s condition. He also blasted other media houses that fabricate stories about him to increase their sales.
‘I take this opportunity to thank the Star Kenya for being the first to highlight on Betrace’s sad condition on their headline story.’
‘Unlike other newspapers which are slowly becoming gutter press day by day thinking by publishing Sonko’s negativity, their sales will improve. I wish to thank all Kenyan who sent their donations.’
Sonko concluded his post with a message of gratitude to the surgeons who performed the surgery. He also advised Kenyans to keep identifying such illnesses so that medical aid can be provided.
‘From the bottom of my heart I also want to convey my sincere appreciation to the entire fraternity of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital’ He wrote.
