This morning, Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko apologized to the Muslim community in Nairobi via his social media.
In a statement issued on his social media, Sonko apologized for the delay in the circulation of foodstuffs for the needy community.
He said that his team is placing measures to ensure that they comply with the Ministry of Health Covid-19 guidelines before they start the distribution. He also added that the non-Muslim needy families are to benefit from this exercise as well.
This is to apologize to all our Muslim brothers and sisters for this year’s delay in distributing iftar foodstuffs to the needy families unlike previous years where we used to do it at least a day or two before the start of Ramadhan’ He stated.
