Kenyan Governor and his Ex-partner Lillian Ng’ang’a

Kenyan Governor Alfred Mutua and his ex-girlfriend Lillian Ng’ang’a shared the news of their separation on 15th August after dating for ten years.

They both put out statements on their social media to announce their split. In the Governor’s statement, he said that their break-up was harmonious, and they remained friends.

He also said the same thing during a press conference held in August before his massive joint birthday party with Tanzanian singer Rayvanny.

Despite his claims that all was well between them, Lillian opened up about her life past the separation and said she was living in fear.

Lillian Accuses Governor Alfred Mutua

In a press conference held on 4th November, Lillian alleged that the Governor promised to destroy her because of her new relationship with Singer Juliani.

She added that the Governor had not come to terms with their split, and he tried to win her back by offering material things.

Lillian further revealed that she denied his advances, a move that made him hostile towards her.

She added that he illegally transferred her shares from their joint businesses to his sister. She said that Mutua forcefully took her vehicle and sold it to a third party without her consent.

Lillian also accused the Governor of threatening her life, her new boyfriend and their close associates. She also disclosed that she had filed a case against Alfred, and; it is currently in court.

Hamisa Mobetto and Rick Ross

On 26th November, Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto and American rapper William Leonard Roberts alias Rick Ross broke the internet with a video of them at a club in Dubai.

Hamisa and Rick Ross both shared clips of themselves acting cosy and dancing to Afrobeats at the club.

During an interview with Tanzanian bloggers at the airport, Hamisa Mobetto said she and Rick Ross are business partners. She also revealed that the American rapper loves Tanzania and he would like to invest in the country.

Hamisa and Rick Ross sparked relationship rumours at the beginning of this year after the rapper left several flirtatious comments on her photos.

It seems like their relationship shifted from the comment section to the DM, and; it later led to their intimate meeting in Dubai.

Davido’s Birthday Fundraising

David Adedeji Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, surprised netizens after raising 200million Naira in two days.

What started as a joke turned out to be one of the biggest fundraisings on social media. Davido then added 50million Naira and donated all the money he received to charity.

In a statement he released, Davido said that he had created a committee to oversee the distribution of funds to different orphanages across Nigeria.

Ugandan Singer Pallaso Copies Davido

Ugandan Singer Pallaso also tried the same stunt and asked his followers to help him raise Ush100million for his vehicle. He got over a Ush5million ($1402) in a week, nothing close to what Davido got in two days.

Sheila Gashumba’s Return to Television

Sheila Gashumba created a buzz on Twitter after Douglas Lwanga announced that she would be hosting a show on NBS.

Netizens were surprised by the announcement because Sheila swore that she would never return to Television due to meagre pay.

She even said that she would work as an Uber driver rather than work for a media station. Therefore, many were curious as to why she had accepted the job offer at Next Media services.
