Married Celebrities Who Met While They Were Still in School

Love is a beautiful feeling, and It is even better when you marry your best friend. Some people are lucky enough to stay in marriage till eternity, but others divorce several times before getting the right partner.

Here are some of the celebrities who met at college and are still going strong.

Nameless and Wahu

David Mathenge, alias Nameless, and his wife, Wahu Kagwi, are undoubtedly the most adored celebrity couple in Kenya. Their love story began in 1998 while they were at the University of Nairobi. They have been together since then, and their family has grown as well. They have two daughters, Tumiso and Nyakio Mathenge.

Abel Mutua and Judith

Abel, the former Tahidi High actor, met his wife Judith Nyawira at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

Abel, who is currently a content creator, storyteller and creative director at Phil it TV, met his wife two months before leaving college.

Judith was in her first year when they met, and; that is how their love story began until they got married. Together they have a daughter called Stephanie.

Bobi Wine and Barbie Itungo

Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, and his wife Barbie Itungo have been together for as long as we can recall. The pair met in 2000, and since then, they have weathered the storms in their publicized relationship together.

According to Barbie, she and Bobi met while she was still in high school. She said it took him about seven months to win her heart.

While speaking to New Vision in 2011, she said “It was around November 2000 at the National Theatre. I was still at Bweranyangi Girls School and we were both acting in a play in which I was the first lady and he was a president. He would escort me home, and we would chat a lot. We soon grew close.”

Barbie also revealed that Bobi was her first love during the same interview.

After living together for over ten years, Bobi proposed to Barbie, and they tied the knot in a glamorous wedding at Rubaga Cathedral.

Njugush and Celestine

Kenyan comedian Timothy Kimani, alias Njugush and his wife Celestine have earned themselves a name in the entertainment industry. The pair met at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. While at the University, Celestine stood by him all through his hardships. They got married in 2016, and they have a son called, Tugi.
