As many are reminiscing and posting their old photos in honor of throwback Thursday, Ugandan Socialite Zari Hassan is switching it up. Today the gorgeous socialite cum entrepreneur took to her social media to drop some wisdom for her fans.

In a message dubbed Thursday lesson, Zari asked her fans to show negative people gratitude for their pessimistic opinions instead of getting defensive. According to Zari, this is the best way to disarm a naysayer as people never expect kindness in return for their negative criticism.

She shared this message on her Instagram, accompanied by a photo of herself in her office. She wrote: ‘Thursday lesson. Never allow someone to kill your dreams. Instead of getting defensive when people criticize your dream, thank them for their opinion.’

She added: ‘This will disarm them. People do not expect kind, loving words to be directed back at them when they are purposely trying to tear you down.’
